Hancock Bank to observe Christmas Day, New Year's Day holidays
Branches open half-day on Christmas Eve; regular hours, New Year's Eve

GULFPORT, MS (December 23, 2009) - Hancock Bank's 180 financial services offices in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida will not open on Friday, December 25, 2009, in observance of the Christmas Day holiday.

Hancock Bank lobby locations will remain open until 1:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Twenty-nine branches of the former Peoples First Community Bank recently acquired by Hancock Bank in Panhandle and central Florida will extend drive-through hours until 2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

All Hancock Bank offices will resume regular business hours on Saturday, December 26th at Saturday banking branches and at all locations on Monday, December 28th.

Additionally, all Hancock Bank offices will not open on New Year's Day, January 1, 2009. Branches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida (including former Peoples First branches) will maintain regular hours of operation on New Year's Eve.

Customers can access the conveniences of 24-hour, seven-days-a-week financial services through e-banking at, and 160-plus ATMs across the company's Gulf South I-10 corridor markets.
